The Abbey - Sign-Up to Serve - 2026-27

Church of the Ascension is supporting The Abbey's effort to feed our Avondale neighbors experiencing homelessness. 

Each week, we will prepare and hand out sack lunches on the following schedule: 

Wednesday: Volunteers assemble the sack lunches at the church

Thursday, 8:30–9:30 am: Volunteers pick up lunches & coffee from the church, then distribute the sack lunches in Avondale

How to sign up:

- Sign up in teams of two

- You can sign up to pack, to distribute, or to do both (we'd love that!)

Ross Parker will walk you through everything you need to know and will join you on your first shift to help things go smoothly. You can reach him at rossparker@att.net or 662-549-3264.

This is one of our parish's most important outreach efforts, and the need has never been greater.
