LVA Student Shadow Day / Parent Tours
Fill out this form if you would like to attend Student Shadow Day / Parent Tour on THURSDAY, DECEMBER 3, 2026.

Current 8th grade students may select ONE major they are interested in Shadowing. Students may not select multiple shadow days in different majors to allow for all students to have an opportunity to participate. 

SCHEDULE

Please meet at 7:30am in the Lowden Theater Lobby (875 E Clark Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89101). Park in LVA's parking garage (3rd level or above) on Clark Street directly next to the Lowden Theater or street parking surrounding the school (may be metered by the city). 

Parents/Guardians will stay for a presentation and campus tour, while students will be picked up by their Ambassador and follow them to each of their classes that day.

7:30-8:00am - Check in - Lowden Theater Lobby
8:00-9:25am - Period 1/2
9:32-10:58am - Period 3/4
10:58-11:58am - LUNCH
12:03-1:28pm - Period 5/6
1:35-3:00pm - Period 7/8
3:00pm - Parent/Guardian pick up - outside of Lowden Theater

Parent/Family Tour Schedule - 8:00-9:30am, 3:00pm
7:30-8:00am - Check in - Lowden Theater Lobby
8:00-8:30am - Presentation - Lowden Theater
8:30-9:30am - Campus Tour
3:00pm - Pick up your student outside of Lowden Theater

EXPECTATIONS

Best practices for Shadow Students - You may be participating in a Dance or PE class that will require appropriate attire (tennis shoes, comfortable clothing you can move in). 

ALL SHADOW STUDENTS MUST FILL OUT THIS MANDATORY WAIVER. Please bring a signed, printed copy to check-in.  

Best practices for Parents/Families - Wear comfortable, close-toed shoes to walk in and bring bottled water. 

Regarding LUNCH - Shadow students can bring their own lunch, they can get free lunch in the lunch room, or buy lunch at the student store or at the snack shack (cash or credit). 

Print and turn in this completed ABSENCE FORM LETTER to your middle school Attendance office. 

INSTRUCTIONS FROM MAJOR TEACHERS

Band/Jazz/Guitar/Mariachi - Bring your instrument (unless it's too big to carry)
Orchestra - Bring your instrument (Violin or Viola - for Cello/Bass you can borrow one)
Vocal - Bottle of water - be prepared to sing with the choir

2D & 3D Visual Design - Wear clothes to draw or paint in - all materials will be provided
Film & Video Production - Bring a smartphone with space to download apps that would be helpful in the filmmaking process
Photography/Graphic Design - None

Dance - Bring dance attire 

Theatre - Wear clothes and shoes you can move in
