Repair & Learn Hub - Booking Form
The Repair & Learn Hub is a student-led initiative at London South Bank University focused on learning through repair.

Students work alongside LSBU staff and technicians to safely diagnose and attempt to repair everyday items. The Hub combines practical skills, sustainability and community engagement by helping extend the life of things that might otherwise be thrown away.

Instead of replacing broken items, we encourage repair, reuse and learning how things work.

🌱 What happens during a session

When you book a slot, you will attend a diagnostic session with our student repair team.

During this appointment we will:
  • examine the item
  • identify the likely fault
  • discuss whether repair may be possible
If repair is possible, the item may be repaired later in our supervised workshops and returned at a future session.

Please note that repairs are not guaranteed and may take place after the initial diagnosis.

🔧 What we usually work with

We mainly focus on small household items, including:
  • lamps and lighting
  • toys and small gadgets
  • radios or small electronics
  • small furniture and mechanical items
  • garden tools and simple equipment
Large appliances, vehicles and certain high-risk items cannot be accepted.
