Each year at Christmas, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints makes a monumental effort to spread the message and mission of #LightTheWorld, and turn the holiday season into one of service, lifting and helping others in small and simple ways.
As part of our mission to #LightTheWorld this year, g
ifting machines – essentially large, red vending machines – will go to Manchester for the first time. Through these unique vending machines, individuals can donate to help those in need, allowing people to give back in a meaningful way by supporting local charities.
Just fill your name and contact details, select stake or other option, select date and shift then submit.
If there is no availability or dates / shift that suits your schedule, you can email jan-smart@ntlworld.com where we can put you on a reserve list. Please indicate full name, contact details, Stake if a member, Town if a friend, along with date and shift you can do and we will contact you if an opportunity arises.
The machines will be at ( Spinningfields Square. Off Deansgate. Manchester M3 3AP) from (13th -27th December), running daily from(10am).
We need a team of friendly volunteers who will:
- Greet people as they come to the location and help manage the line
- Provide a brief explanation of the process
- Have fun entertaining visitors and children waiting in line
More information and guidance on how to support the machines will come. For now, we are looking to collect a list of names of people able and willing to volunteer and help out. Please ensure you submit a form for each individual volunteer who intends to participate. (For example-If you are coming as a group of three people, three forms-one for each person should be submitted)
