Thank you so much for being willing to serve as a volunteer at our warming center at Griffin City Park Gymnasium located at 601 Camp Northern Road in Griffin. Please note that there is one full time county employee in the facility and that law enforcement and fire department personnel will come by for periodic checks on residents.  This center is not set up as a shelter with no refreshments or sleeping areas,  but as a place for those in our community to take time to get out of the cold. Your responsibility is to assist with directing residents of the facilities and partner with staff to monitor any needs or call for assistance in between the welfare checks if necessary.  If you have any questions, please email Glenn Polk at gpolk@spaldingcounty.com.
