The 2026 Ken Thompson Reston Century will be held Sunday, August 23rd, 2026. For 4 years, our Century has depended entirely on dedicated volunteers like you!
To help make your volunteer selection, below is an index of the major areas we need support:
- June-July: organize and inventory equipment to ensure we have everything for the event
- Week before: Packet pick up (Bike Lane, Green Lizard, Maverick Bikes);
- Day Prior: Route marking; van loading
- Day of: Start/Finish & Rest Stop operations (Captain and support)
- Ride Marshals
- SAG Support
- Van unloading
- And many more!
Some of the day of positions, such as early and late shifts at the Start/Finish and van unloading will allow you to also ride. See descriptions for details. If you don't see a role listed, that means it has been filled.If you have any questions or need more details, please email volunteer@restonbikeclub.org.
If a task is not listed or you can not select on the form, this is because we already have enough volunteers. Please consider another role!
Youths: Once again, Reston Bike Club is honored for the support from youth organizations and individuals. We gladly certify service hours!
Volunteers who work for three hours or more will receive a complimentary one year RBC membership as thanks.
