2026 Reston Century Volunteer Sign up

The 2026 Ken Thompson Reston Century will be held Sunday, August 23rd, 2026.  For 43 years, our Century has depended entirely on dedicated volunteers like you!

To help make your volunteer selection, below is an index of the major areas we need support:

  • June-July: organize and inventory equipment to ensure we have everything for the event
  • Week before:  Packet pick up (Bike Lane, Green Lizard, Maverick Bikes); 
  • Day Prior: Route marking; van loading
  • Day of:  Start/Finish & Rest Stop operations (Captain and support)
  • Ride Marshals
  • SAG Support
  • Van unloading
  • And many more!
Some of the day of positions, such as early and late shifts at the Start/Finish and van unloading will allow you to also ride.  See descriptions for details.

Youth Groups: Once again, Reston Bike Club is honored to support local youth organizations on behalf of chaperoned student volunteers.
