Audition Dates: October 20 and October 21, 6:00–9:00 PM

Audition Location: Auditions will be held at the Horace Mann Middle School campus (Union Avenue, Sheboygan). Please enter through Door 17 at the back of the building near the soccer fields. There will be signage to indicate where you should enter!

Audition Q+A: All is Calm 

Performers must be 18 years of age or older. Casting will be age-appropriate.

Show Synopsis: All Is Calm tells the true story of the World War I Christmas Truce of 1914, when soldiers from opposing sides quietly laid down their weapons and stepped into No Man’s Land. Through soldier letters, journal entries, and period carols sung a cappella, the piece traces how ordinary men chose humanity over violence for one brief, miraculous night. The result is a haunting, reflective meditation on memory, peace, and the cost of war.​

What to Prepare:

SIDES: Please prepare at least two passages from the Audition Sides (three if time allows). Most of the pieces are taken from “letters” (or spoken text). Actors should attempt to adhere to the dialect that is indicated next to the Actor Number/Name.

EX. Actor Name - Actor Three, Dialect - Standard British = Actor 3 (Standard British)

SONGS: Please prepare a traditional carol (ex. Silent Night, O Holy Night, The First Noel, Joy to the World). If you are able to sing a carol in a language that is not Standard English, such as O Tannenbaum or Minuit, Chrétien's (O Holy Night) in their original languages, that is welcome as well!

Production Details: Rehearsals are typically held Monday through Friday from 6:00–10:00 PM until tech week, when additional rehearsals will be scheduled. Rehearsals and performances run October 23rd - Dec 4th at the Leslie W. Johnson Theatre (Horace Mann Middle School campus). Performances are scheduled for December 3rd through the 6th. Please refer to the rehearsal calendar below for full details. PLEASE NOTE: Tech week call times may be adapted for show needs.
