How will it work?

The audition will be cold reads: meaning, on the day of the audition, is when the actors will read and perform the script and perform it. (You do not have to have it memorized in minutes, just be able to perform what you are reading during that time :) )

Auditions will be held in-person or online through Zoom/Webex!

This is a short film on mental health. There are 3 different college students battling different health issues, and the film gives an insight into how they find help.

Julia: Got a scholarship to go to school, works 2 jobs, tries to maintain grades, when the budget cuts for higher education happened though the struggles grew more and more, her mental health was put in last place because she is told and taught that life must go on and if you don’t do anything nothing will happen.

Talis: Came to the U.S at a young age maybe around 14 years old with his older sister. However he got separated from his little sister, mother and father. He is funny, loves food and is a social butterfly.

Kijana: A bit shy, but inside she is ready to take action in a good way. She is wise about the decisions she makes, but she is also struggling with misdiagnosis when she has depression but is manifested through more physical symptoms. Has a silly and fun relationship with her father.

Max: Funny and kind at heart is good friends with Talis.

Newsreporter: Speaks on the tv about budget cuts and student debt

Therapist: The therapist of all the students, is poise and understanding, takes the time to truly listen and give professional advice.

Professor: Helps give some insight to the students.

Mari: Talis' sister, she holds her family close to her heart. She holds a lot of responsibilty.

Micah: Kijana's older brother, who's funny

Be part of crew (this means helping out in the background with lighting, makeup, audio, etc)

Most locations will be on the Stamford campus, and those that aren't there will have complimentary transportation.

1st day of filming: 14th of Feb (Saturday)

2nd week: Monday 16, Tuesday 17, and Wednesday 18

Mid-term week, we do not film! (Feb 23-Feb 28)
