2026 Dendronian OT Job Sheet
To be a member of Dendronia, everyone must have at least one job that they are supporting the camp with OT. Below, you will see jobs you can sign up for to fufil this requirement.

If you are already volunteering in an OT Team (such as build crew) you do not have to sign up for additional jobs.

You CAN sign up for more than what you are required to do, if you want to.
At the event, you can trade times/jobs with other people if you need to. Just find an OT Team lead with the person you want to trade with so they can change the schedule.

If you accidentally skip the job you signed up for, please seek out an OT Team lead and they can work out another time/job for you to do.
Not doing a job during the event CAN lead to you being asked to not camp with us in the future, as it is a responsibility of every member.

While you are there, you would be responsible for making sure that:
  • People are staying in character, reminding them if they slip to keep in character in common areas.
  • People aren't bringing out-of-character objects into the common area
  • People aren't leaving their belongings or trash in the common areas.
  • If trash IS left in the area, that it is thrown away.
  • If the common area trash can is full, to replace the trash bag.
  • Make sure that fires aren't being left alone and always have a person watching them.

Firewood Tender
Twice a day, the firewood for the camp needs to be refreshed. You would need to split firewood into smaller parts and fill up the firewood container.

If the unsplit firewood is getting low, you would also inform an OT camp leader so they can arrange for more to be bought.

Overall, the job should not take long, but will require you to be comfortable with the physical labor of it and you will need to be cleared by camp admin so that we know you can do it safely.

Please do not chose this job unless you have already been cleared by admin to do it.

Ice Tender
For this job, you will be responsible for purchasing new ice in the morning and changing the ice out in the cooler.
You will:
  1. Take the cart to the local vendor to purchase ice (you will be given cash to do so)
  2. Bring the ice back to the camp.
  3. Empty the cooler of the previous day's ice. The ice can then go into the grey water containers under the water dispensers to be disposed of by the Water Tenders.
  4. Put new ice into the cooler.
This job only needs to be done once in the morning, but does require you to be able to pull a cart a short walk (5-10 min) to the vendor, with the return walk having the extra weight of the ice.
You would then need to be able to tip over the cooler to empty it of ice and pour in the new ice.
